Teamwork with Julian Brhrens and Yue Zhao
Unlike conventional cars, the HMI design of this autonomous vehicle enhances the passenger experience through intelligent displays and interaction. This project forms a complete hmi system from four aspects: human-vehicle-environment-information and is presented through the following four areas.
4.公交站上的显示屏：mini bus 的信息
Due to the special position of the bus in relation to the bus stop, the side body can display important information for waiting passengers. On the one hand, basic information is displayed, such as the start and end station. On the other hand, the product slogan can be displayed very well, so that people quickly understand that this is a hydrogen vehicle and that there are no CO2 emissions.
Passengers get on from the front of the bus and get off from the rear, so the welcome screen is displayed on the display at the front of the car. The first thing you see when you enter the interior of the car is the air quality inside the bus.
As it is a bus route to and from following Kiel and the surrounding area, the journey will take longer. During this 20-minute drive, passengers can operate the panel to improve entertainment. In addition to basic driving information, there is information about the culture, history and activities of the surrounding cities. Information on new energy vehicles is also provided to make passengers aware that taking this bus is a good sustainable behaviour and thus increases usage.
The operating panel at the bus stop provides basic information, including weather, time, starting and ending stops, the number of people on board, and the route being travelled. It is convenient for passengers to know the status of the bus during the waiting time.
